So what does it mean to be an old girl? You don't really have to be old. Old Girls are players (and fans) who have since left their active rugby days behind them. Maybe you stopped playing to focus on your career, have kids, rest your aching bones, or you moved to Memphis and there wasn't a team. Whatever the reason, the Memphis WRFC invite you to come back to rugby. We're here for you.
What can you expect when deciding to reunite with your inner rugger? The camaraderie you know and love with other Memphis ruggers you will meet. Come on out and watch games, enjoy the social, and sing songs. Join our YahooGroup to network with other Memphians and stay up to date on happenings all over Memphis. Want to play again? Sure! A Memphis Old Girls team is not out of the question.
What would we ask from you? Not a whole lot. Become a social member. Teach us what you know. Clap when we score. Help us recruit new rugby players. Participate in fundraisers. Help us bring rugby to the next generation through the blossoming high school rugby teams in Memphis as a coach, referee, administrator, or mentor.
Old Girls bring a lot to the table. We want to know you. If you have an interest in becoming a part of the Old Girls network, please contact Nancy Campbell.
Old Girls Slogans:
